This has become my 'go to' camera shop. The staff is knowledgeable and professional. I'd never go to a department store to buy a camera, or equipment for one - and expect quality information. This is the place to go!
In the past, the staff has been super helpful. I brought my rebel in for a focus problem and one of the staff tried on a different lense, then figured it just needed a good cleaning, which he did. Problem solved.
At Hunts Photo, Shae was exceptionally helpful, offering technical advice about a certain shot I was trying to take. He researched different lens rental possibilities for my needs. He also remained beyond his work shift to assist me in purchasing a tripod, and helped to process a rebate for it. I happily shared my experience at Hunts Photo with fellow members of my photography workshop. The staff at Hunts really go above and beyond to serve their customers.
Mike Davis is one of the more knowledgeable sales reps that you'll find behind a camera store counter. I know this for the fact that I worked with him for years at a competitor (now closed), and I learned a lot from his years of experience in the field. Now he is at Hunt's in Hanover, one of the few remaining actual camera stores in New England, so, if you might be looking to take your skills (and equipment) to another level, you would be wise to draw on that expertise. Plus, he's an OK guy, too. Easy transaction on a new printer to serve my imaging needs, plus those of my family, and on special, to boot!
This weekend i brought it in once again with the same problem. The older gentleman attending to me was not helpful and told me my only option was to have it shipped. He never bothered to even look at my camera, let alone explain to me why it would take over a month to have serviced. No big deal, this time I just took my business elsewhere; next time I’ll know to avoid this staff member.
I was looking to get a new camera and wanted to trade in my old camera. This store in particular made the experience seamless. Just great customer service. Though they didn't have the camera kit I wanted in stock at this store, I had it shipped right to my door, right on the date they said it would arrive. The sales consultant, Alex M., was very helpful. I very much plan on visiting this store again. I recommend you visit as well if looking for a camera or camera gear. Go local and support your local vendors!
